  1. I just got my very first unsolicited “thank you” this week. “Please” is said often (he learned early that it might get him stuff, similar to “more,” but “thank you” is not an instant gratification word.

  2. Haha! That sounds like my friend’s daughter. She is 2. At least your child says it. I work at a grocery store and sometimes kids there aren’t as polite.
