Low Hopper and the Best By Date

When most of us encounter expired food, it goes into the garbage.  Low Hopper understood that food waste is a terrible problem and refused to throw anything out.  This behavior was a habit for decades until the events of the song below changed the songwriter forever.

Old Toaster Pastry by Low Hopper

Didn’t know they could expire
Didn’t know I would perspire
Didn’t know it could conspire
To eat my soul

Old toaster pastry trying to eat me
Old toaster pastry trying to eat me
Old toaster pastry trying to eat me
Now I know

Never did go to that professional football game
Never did go to the rock n’ roll hall of fame
Never did go to the place I got my name
Never did go

Old toaster pastry trying to eat me
Old toaster pastry trying to eat me
Old toaster pastry trying to eat me
I think I’ll go

Didn’t get to try to write that big book
Didn’t try to see the canyon from the overlook
Didn’t ever try to learn to cook
Toaster excluded

Old toaster pastry trying to eat me
Old toaster pastry trying to eat me
Old toaster pastry trying to eat me
I’m going to try

Old toaster pastry trying to eat me
Old toaster pastry trying to eat me
Old toaster pastry trying to eat me
I need to change

Old toaster pastry trying to eat me
Old toaster pastry trying to eat me
Old toaster pastry trying to eat me
