The Robbery

“Masks on, folks!”

Charlene never thought she would be bored enough for attempted robbery, but as the car rolled to a stop in front of the bank she gave the command and everything changed.

Her crew cheered from the backseat of her mid-sized SUV with the children’s car seats removed to make room for passengers weighing more than 50 pounds.  Masks were put in place, guns were checked to ensure safeties were on, but no one could tell, and the robbery was on.

Charlene leaped from the driver’s seat and began her run to the lobby.

She was nearly to the door when she realized she was alone.  She looked back to the car to see her crew pounding on the windows.

“Oh crud whistles, child locks.” Charlene raced back to the car.
