The Trail

The hike was not spectacular by any means as Sid was holding his side and complaining of “mosquitoes out to murder him” at any given opportunity, but overall the venture could be describe as going well.

Jaymie held the straps of her backpack in hand and smiled as she was the first to crest the hill and take in the full view of the scene they had both come to see.

“Nice,” Sid said, when he joined her, breathless and swatting at unseen bugs.  “Can I have it now?”

“You know this is not just for trails right?” Jaymie asked.
